Governance & Security Documentation 2026
Our approach to User Sovereignty & Data Integrity.
At Basepath Gaming Applications, we treat privacy as a fundamental architectural pillar, not a legal afterthought. As a Berlin-based entity, our commitment to GDPR compliance is baked into every line of code we ship. We don’t just "store" data; we steward it under strict German digital architecture standards.
The following document outlines how we balance high-performance game logic with rigorous data protection protocols. Last updated: January 29, 2026.
Principles of Minimization
We operate under a "Zero-Waste" data policy. If a data point does not directly improve the latency of matchmaking or the stability of the game state, we choose not to collect it.
- Assumption: Low-latency gaming requires persistent user tracking for optimization.
- Constraint: User anonymization must happen within 20ms of the session termination.
- Change of View: If EU data laws shift toward mandatory fingerprinting, we will prioritize user-side local storage over server-side logs.
Protocol Breakdown
Technical Telemetry
Includes IP addresses, session duration, and device hardware specifications. This is essential for preventing unauthorized access and ensuring your device can handle the engine's requirements.
Account Identity
Username, hashed password storage, and recovery email address. We use multi-point encryption (AES-256) for all identity strings to ensure cross-platform safety.
Transaction Logs
Payment metadata facilitated via third-party providers. We never see or store full credit card numbers; only transaction tokens and purchase history signatures.
The Transparency Checklist
Architectural visualization of data flows. Verification verified at Headquarters: Alexanderplatz 1, Berlin.
Who truly owns the game-state data?
You do. While we host the infrastructure to facilitate play, the "events" of your account profile are exportable upon request. We view our server as a temporary lease of digital space for your achievements.
Are my interactions used for third-party advertising?
Absolutely not. Basepath Gaming Applications operates on a direct engagement model. Your behavior is never packaged as a product for external marketing firms.
How are data breaches handled in Germany?
In accordance with German Digital Laws, any compromise of personal data is reported to the relevant authorities and affected users within 72 hours of discovery via secure channel.
Can I permanently delete my digital footprint?
Yes. Under the "Right to be Forgotten," we provide a single-click purge mechanism. This action is irreversible and wipes all telemetry, stats, and identity markers within 48 hours.
Do you use automated profiling for gameplay?
We use non-invasive matchmaking algorithms that strictly analyze skill brackets and latency. We do not use socioeconomic or demographic profiling to determine your game experience.
Exercise Your Rights
Request a full machine-readable export of all data associated with your GUID (Globally Unique Identifier).
Update or amend inaccurate account details via your player dashboard at any time.
If you feel your privacy is compromised, contact our Data Protection Officer directly at info@basepath.online.
"Privacy is not a feature you turn on. It's the environment in which you play."
